About Us

We are a family owned and operated farming operation now starting to train the fifth generation on the ways of farming and caring for the animals. The selling of produce started as a fluke with the sheep and wool business. Yes not only do we sell lamb but we also sell 100% wool yarn and other wool items from the sheep we raise (you will have to come to the markets to see the variety of products we carry). I started out just selling my yarn and wool at the farmers market and farming and gardening with my parents. There was one year we had a bumper crop of pears and I would pick them and take them in for my mother to put up. A couple of days later I showed up with another 10 gallons of pears only to be met at the door by her, butcher knife in hand, telling me “Find some other place to take them, Wayne!!”. So that Saturday I showed up with my wool and pears at the market. Needless to say I went home that day with empty buckets and amazed that they were gone. The next week it was pears and tomatoes… That started a rollercoaster ride that we are still on.We specialize in heirloom vegetables. We use no pesticides in the garden (unless you count the chickens and they can be pests sometimes). The only fertilizer that we use is manure from the sheep pens and chicken houses. We have had the policy from day one that we would not sell anything that we would not eat.When it comes to the produce I am a little on the eccentric side…. If it is weird I am going to try to grow it. This fits in wonderful with the heirloom vegetables.As of today there is about seven acres in garden, with access to two greenhouses due to a working cooperation with a local FFA chapter and 3 hoop houses.And do not forget the sheep, milk goats, 200 laying hens and increasing, 40 ducks, a few turkeys, geese, and a few deer for good measure (kept at a friends place, had trouble with people shooting them in the pasture).If you have any special requests for vegetables please do not hesitate to contact me….. If I can find the seed and it will grow here we will try it.

Happy health free range chickens provide you with the best eggs money can buy. Our chickens have full reign of the garden, ponds, creeks, and pastures to make sure they are kept full and happy. The hens are gathered at night to help protect them from natral preditors, but otherwise they are out doing what chickens do best. Keep in mind that they are very tempormental and when it gets hot - they go on strike.

Lamb LambFresh from our flock - to your table. We only sell what we raise. Our lamb is free from any chemicals or growth hormones. They are pasture raised lamb finised off with grain from a local farmer to provide the best quality and tase to you.

Chicken ChickenWe raise them - you enjoy them. Our chickens are "happy free range" birds that have a life of leisure. They are processed in a USDA Certified processing plan ( in Arkansas) and flash frozen for the trip back to Oklahoma. Only healthy, happy birds are offered.

Wild Boar Wild BoarThats right - Wild Boar. The boar are captured from a local farm, and processed in a USDA Certifed processing plant. The boar i s all natural and naturally lean.

Cow Lease Program Cow Lease ProgramOur cows are Guernsey/Jersey crosses located on a partner dairy in Big Cabin, Oklahoma. Our heard consist of 80 very happy "Oklahoma Hill County Cows". They eat a diet consisting of pasture grazing ( in the winter they also get some hay from our farm ), and a small amount of grain ( provided by a local farmer ) during milking to calm their nevers. Since our cows diet come primarily from our pastures, slight variation in flavor will occure depending on wich pasture they are grazing. Our cows are never given any kind of antibiotics or growth hormones in thier feed.In Oklahoma, it is illegal to buy or sell raw cow milk ( also known as unpastuerized, from-from-the-cow milk ). It is however LEGAL to drink milk from a cow that you own. Think of it - owning your own cow and all you do is "drink" the rewards. Here is how the "cow lease program" works:You make a once a year $ 10 payment to lease your cow from W bar M Sheep and wool. For a year you own a "share" of a cow assigned to you. In additon to your yearly lease you pay a delivery / processing fee of $ 5 per gallon ( $ 3.50 per half gallon ) of milk that is delivered to a drop off location. Your share entitles you to milk by the gallon or the half gallon.The milk supplied to you will be raw -- that is, it is not heat-treated or pasteurized. It will be chilled; and you should take care that it remains so until you get it home and into your refrigerator. It is imperative that you make provision with insulated containers and ice or chillers to keep the milk at refrigerator temperature wich is 35 degrees.

If you can pruchase it at your "local grocery store" then you probably won't find it in one of our booths. We like to raise the "unusual" and heirloom variety of vegetables.

Wool Looking for wool - we have it. Our flock consists of suffolk, marino, southdown, and shropshire. No matter what you are looking for - we will have it.Our wools are hand washed and dyed with natural dyies.

Speghetti Squash Toss1 speghetti squash - halved lengthwise and seeded2 tbs olive oil1 chopped onion1 minced garlic clove1 1/2 chopped tomatoes3/4 c crumled feta cheese3 tbs slived black olives2 tbs chopped fresh basil__________1. Preheat oven to 350 - lightly grease baking sheet.2. Place spaghetti squash cut side down on the baking sheet and bake 30 min or until a sharp knife can be inserted with very little resistance. Removed squash and set aside to cool during next step.3. In a skillet, heat oil over medium heat - saute onions until tender. Add garlic and continue to saute 3 to 5 min. Stir in the tomatoes, continue to cook only until tomatoes are warm.4. Use a large spoon to scoop the stingy pulp from the squash and place in a medium bowl. Toss with the sauteed vegetables, feta cheese, olives and basil.----- serve warm -----
Squash - Apple Casserole2 1/2 c winter squash1 1/2 c cooking apples ( try Arkansas Blacks )1/2 tsp nutmeg1 tsp cinnamon__________1. Wash and prepare squash and apples ( peels can be left on apples if desired ).2. Alternate layers of swash and apples in a 8" x 8" pan, layer last with apples.3. Sprinkle spices over top layer.4. Cover with foil and bake at 350 for 45 - 60 minutes until squash is tender.
Types of Winter SquashAcorn - round and dark green or orange on the outside. Great for baking and goes well with sweet, nutty or spicy stuffing.Buttercup - hard turban like shell, very sweet. Can be steamed, baked or a great substitute for sweet potatoes.Butternut - cream or yellow to tan colored pear shaped. Great for mashing!Hubbard - one of the largest of winter squash. After cooked and mashed it can be used in breads, muffins, pancakes or soups.Spaghetti - creamy yellow oblong squash. The meat is stingy and mild flavored. Serve like pasta with butter and pepper.
